'Good morning Adam number five three six nine two, how are you doing.' Adam No.1 nodded with an identical smile.
Then the two men turned back looking forward again, and continued down the street at a synchronized pace.
But suddenly a lump fell from above, accelerating down towards the ground. Before the crowd could react, a body landed with a terrific thud, and a flower of blood and flesh bloomed in the middle of the street.
The ever continuous flow stopped, and for the first time their smiling faces showed a sense of confusion.
"Error… an entity experienced unexpected fall… searching for its origin…."
A vague buzz sounded again from a distance.
“Origin found, level 256 of structure No.001, a red book fell from its shelf then obstructed Eve No.114’s path, which forced her to bypass and thus stepped off the balcony.”
The buzz disappeared, and with wide grins back on peoples’ faces they continued down the road, leaving clean, mirror-like floors in their wake.
Adam No.1 finally reached his workplace after crossing 5 roads. It was a white metallic sphere, half of which is underground. But even so it was still more than 100 meters high, with two elevators in the centre, one of which he took to reach the floor of his workplace.
