Chapter 2 - Min Headroom①(13)

The gaggle of teens at the front of the room has noticed me now and they're making their way to the back of the class. Each giggling and whispering to one-another with words that I don't understand. "Shway," "rips," "dreg" I know at least. I officially feel old. A girl pushes in front of the rest, long white hair swaying rhythmically with each step. The dark red skin and irregularly-sized horns on her head give off the appearance of a Japanese oni but she's combined it with an American cheerleading uniform. She greets me with more energy in her voice than I think I've ever had in my entire body, 

"hey! Ater, right? Shwaaaay jacket! I'm Melissa and it's so nice to meet you." How I handle this first interaction could make or break the investigation.

"Are you approaching me!?" I stand up by my desk and hold a closed fist infront of my face with a threatening aura. "I've had this arm sealed for 6 years now. Are you sure wish me to unleash it's power!?" My question echoes throughout the room and even those not paying attention to me before are now fixated on my performance. This suits my look atleast... Maybe they'll find it ironic?
