The first lesson of the day is excruciatingly boring. The kids in this class are supposed to be 15, but they're learning the kind of mathematics I mastered at age 10. I wish I could say that meant that I flew through the quiz without a problem, but it was actually the opposite. Hunting down threats to society doesn't lead to many opportunities to brush up on trigonometric functions or the formulae that they're used in. An hour of the lesson goes by painfully slowly and is capped off with everyone's test scores appearing above their heads for one-another to judge.
My 12% brings a few double-takes as well as several laughs from other parts of the room. They might laugh even more if they discovered that all of those marks came from logical steps when given one of the formulae and not from a single correct answer or proper use of knowledge. I can see why this kind of environment would lead to violent actions. Doesn't help that I wouldn't be able to physically hit any of these students who only existed in this space virtually. Perhaps shouta Fulgur might have done better in primary school?
