Several down, highlighted in red is the message from Legion HQ. New legatio posted 3 hours ago. Not like I was doing anything anyway. I click into the message and read the briefing. Besides missions that are given directly to a legatus individually, legati are expected to take their own legatio or missions to pass the time. This one, posted in the early hours of the morning, came from the praetor of education. Surprising that no legati have jumped on this. They usually love serving those in power. Tends to come with rewards.
As I read through the briefing, I come to understand why it was going unanswered. You really expect any self-respecting legatus to go to secondary school? I muse. I'd rather go back to sleep, and that's a nightmare as it is. A small notification flashes to life outside of the terminal, directly in my IIs.
I take it you're interested in serving the praetores?

I growl out a particularly aggravated sigh in response. I'm pretty sure I have more dangerous mission experience than any other legatus without subordinates. Regardless, I've only been in the position for 2 years and as such I'm very much the rookie of our ranks. I don't see why our praetor, Chroma, goes out of her way to torture me with every boring mission she can find, and has clearly set up alerts for when I view notices, but I don't see any way of getting out of it at this point.
