So I’ve thought that before that before that the grey fog had something to do with the original Creator (not Silver City’s one) that made the world and this could all be more proof since the world was supposedly made with His body.
My earlier theory was that something happened to the Creator and all the transmigrators where some type of contingency plan to revive/replace him. While my theory on that hasn’t changed if though of some additional information for it.
We already know that there’s some type of apocalyptic stuff about to happen and they’ve implied two things about it. One that the threat is from the cosmos and two that the Creator will return at this time. My hypothesis is that way way back the Creator and the mysterious cosmos entity fought, either for the right to create the world or simply the cosmos wanted wreck the world the creator just made. The result was that the Creator won and banished the being into the cosmos but at the price that he was corrupted and killed. The underground doors could be seals implemented by either Him or the the very first gods to prevent that corruption from spreading and on the other side is is authority/uniqueness or whatever might be left of him.
